Representative Paul Gosar's Misguided and Misleading Opposition to the Proposed Greater Grand Canyon National Heritage Monument

Special interests consisting of private companies and members of the Arizona legislature are opposed to the establishment of the Greater Grand Canyon National Heritage Monument because it would prevent expansion of uranium mining around the Grand Canyon. Currently, one such foreign company, based just 6 miles from the rim of the Grand Canyon, is mining and selling uranium to the world market.
